Workshops are still needed as well as Sales Training Online
The first thing to say is we don't dispense with training workshops. They are a significant part of the approach. So if you have your own training team they will still be needed. But now they'll deliver training that really does make a difference to the bottom line! Not only that, but they will be able to monitor the learning of the team by using the 'learning manager' available on the website, and do this for individuals across all tests, or the team as a whole for any particular test.

Most of us have been on workshops and come away with the best of intentions of putting our learning into practise. We found that once we got back into the everyday pressures, the desire to make changes was rapidly swept away. 

Sales Notes
The sales notes cover pretty well everything you need to know about selling. They have a comprehensive index, and are the salesperson's reference for all eventualities. Everything can be downloaded as a PDF from the website.

Comprehensive Notes
Comprehensive notes are available at the workshops you choose and are downloadable from the web as PDF documents. Your people are always able to access information if they have web access.

 

Web based, tested learning
A website login enables each person to do learning between the workshops at their own pace. This means that all the basics can be learned online, then simply reinforced in the workshops, leaving more time for specific areas to be addressed.
 
There are timed tests for each section. This means that the salespeople need to KNOW the material before they sit the test. Also, the questions rotate, so that each time they sit the test they see different questions.
Learning Manager
In the Learning Manager you are able to track the learning both horizontally and vertically. You can see how individuals have progresses, and also see team statistics. Match these to sales performance figures to see where the strengths and weaknesses of your team are!

Workshops/seminars
As we said, we don't dispense with workshop sessions. But since the basics can be learned and refreshed on line the seminars are used mainly to motivate the staff to higher achievement and  to fix issues that they are encountering. These might include particular competitive activity, movements in the market, or simply developing and improving the way we put over Unique Sales Points.

Any information captured on the workshops are loaded to the site to make it a one-stop-shop for all their sales needs. You can even load your own product information there.
